Irish employers facing worst skills shortage in 20 years

Irish employers have reported the greatest difficulty finding candidates with the right skills in 20 years, according to recent research, and that’s backed up by conversations we’re having with clients and other companies. IT and data skills are the hardest to find, followed by operations and logistics, engineering, sustainability, and customer-facing skills.

Enhanced Reporting from January 1st

We mentioned this in December as well, but it bears repeating: Ireland has introduced enhanced reporting requirements for employers. The new obligations are to report to the Revenue details of several non-taxable expenses and benefits provided to employees and directors on or before the payment date to the employee. If you need help getting this in order for your company, get in touch!

We hope this newsletter will be useful to you! Feel free to forward it on to colleagues and contacts who might find it useful. They can also subscribe, if they want to get further issues. Enjoy the upcoming bank holiday, and we’ll talk to you in February!
