Ireland is One of the Most Affordable Places to Start a Business

Among the top 10 EU economies analysed for the study, Ireland stood out as a highly attractive destination for entrepreneurs looking to start a new venture. The number of new businesses in Ireland last year rose 5.5%, making 2024 the second busiest year for start-ups after 2021.

Half of Irish Businesses Have Raised Prices

More than half of Irish businesses raised their prices in the past year, and are falling behind their European counterparts when it comes to innovation, according to a survey of companies by financial payments technology company SumUp.

Ireland Now Second-Most Expensive Country in Europe

Ireland is the second most expensive country in Europe with only Danes expected to pay more for a range of goods and services, the latest figures from Eurostat have confirmed.
